Small, light flakes will take some pigment with them and that is completely normal. It’s important to let them fall off on their own, so avoid picking and scratching your eyebrows (yes, they can feel itchy).

Some people may notice heavy, chunky scabs. They can be normal for some skin types, but they can also be easily avoided. It’s important to follow the aftercare instructions and wash your eyebrows regularly.

Keep your eyebrows dry on the first day (just remove the excess lymph) and start washing them gently from the second day on.

Paper work: The most fun part. There are some forms that will need to be filled out.

Cleaning and drawing: After filling out all forms and consent, we will clean your brows and areas around your brows and then take some before and after pictures. Next, we will measure your brows, clean up any stray hairs, and ask you a few questions about what type of shape you prefer. We will then pre-draw the shape of the brows for your approval. We will make any changes to your desire before any permanent make up is apply.

Numbing: After a shape is decided, we will outline the shape and apply a numbing cream. This will help make you comfortable. Before we start, we will explain each step as we go through each pass, to keep you informed of each stage of the process. We will also numb you again for a few minutes in between passes, to ensure that you'll be as comfortable as possible.

After the procedure: Immediately after the procedure, the brows are usually darker. The eyebrows stay darker like that for at least another 2 weeks. After that, the color subdues to a degree, giving the final permanent color. Even looking dark, the eyebrows do not look ghastly on the day of the procedure. You can still socialize and go to work as normal. Activities can be resumed right on the same day. The color of the pigments used are usually similar to your original eyebrow hair color.

• 48 hours prior to your procedure, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.
• 1 week prior to your procedure, DO NOT TAKE any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, evening Primrose unless medically necessary - you may resume immediately after the procedure.
• Bring along the makeup you apply and any photos of the look that you want to achieve.
• Make sure your health is in good condition, a medical history form will need to be completed.
• No anti-aging treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser, facials 2 weeks before your appointment.
• No facial injections 1 month prior to procedure.
• No waxing, tanning or tinting the eyebrow area 3 days before your appointment.
• On the day of your appointment avoid caffeine/exercise and wash your hair since hot showers are not recommended, baths are ideal.

• It’s against the law for us to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.  You must be 18 on the day of your appointment.

• Ombré Brow can last for 1-3 years.
• A touch up is required 4-8 weeks after the initial appointment.
• Clients that choose a soft look, light colour shade or did not follow the after care instructions may require more touch up appointments.

• The tails of the brow are darker, and as you move towards the front of the brow it starts to fade lighter.
• The effects will be waterproof  and smudge-proof.
• It lasts longer than Microblading, typically around 2 years on average.
• Results are not determined until touch-up application is completed.

• You can go right back to work after the procedure.  However, your brow area may feel tender and slightly swollen for a few days. You can’t get your brows wet or sweat for one week after the procedure.  Avoid direct sunlight on your brows until they are healed.

• The tattoo will look up to 30% darker and larger during the first week, until it fully heals. During the healing process, the tattoo may form a light scab or crust. It will start peeling after a few days but you can’t scratch or pick at it and you should avoid wearing brow makeup for one week.

• To keep your tattoo looking its best, avoid getting it wet until it is completely healed. Always wear sunscreen SPF 30 or higher on the tattooed area when you are expected to be exposed to the sun(after it is healed) or it will fade must faster. Avoid exfololiatint the tattooed area and never wax your brows, as it can fade the tattoo. 

• The average healing time for ombre Brows is 7-10 days but everyone's skin is different. Some people heal faster than that, and some slower.

• During your consultation, we will discuss your prefereences. Together, we will pre-draw the shape and design of your brows. We will not begin the procedure until you have approved the color and design.

TOUCH-UPs - after initial appointment

1. Do not use creams on the swollen or red area without consulting your dermatologist.
2. In the first seven, preferably ten days right after the eyebrow tattoo treatment, do not apply any makeup over the eyebrows tattoo.
3. Do not let your eyebrows get wet for 3 days.  Applying Dynarex A&D Ointment at least 1 time a day, for at least seven days.
4. Avoid laser treatments over eyebrows tattoo. These laser treatments will burn the eyebrow tattoo skin and result in pigment loss.
5. Avoid touching your eyebrows with dirty fingers to prevent infection.
6. Avoid swimming for at least seven days.
7. Avoid heavy training that will result in excessive sweat, which will decrease pigment retention.
8. Avoid tanning for at least seven days.
9. Do not take additional treatments until the treated are completely healed.
10. To ensure quicker healing process, do not expose the treated area to water often.
11. Do not pick or pull on the treated area, as it will result in pigment loss.  Let the scab or crust fall by itself.
12. Ly's Beauty Brows Studio, LLC is not liable in case of improper post treatment care.

Don't worry, peeling is a normal part of the process. It will typically takes about 4-5 weeks for the tattoo to completely peeled. Please don't pull the peel off, let it peel naturally. Follow the aftercare instruction carefully to get the best result possible. If you need a touch up, a minimum of 4 weeks is require before any touch up can be done. If you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact your artist.
